Hi there! We’re Jennifer and Jocelyn, the sister duo behind RXLA. As the founders of RX Candles Los Angeles, we specialize in handcrafted home and body fragrances that bring a touch of luxury to everyday life. Based in Los Angeles, CA, our brand is inspired by artistry, nostalgia, and the power of scent to transform any space.

Creativity runs deep in our family. Growing up, our mom worked at craft stores, which meant our childhood was filled with arts, crafts, and endless DIY projects. She would often take us to work, where we had free rein to explore the craft rooms at Michaels. Back then, these rooms were stocked with everything imaginable—paints, wax, wicks, and supplies just waiting to be turned into something beautiful.

Summers were just as inspiring. We spent them with family in Hawaii, where we’d walk down Waikiki, mesmerized by the artisans hand-carving candles. The scent of warm wax mixed with pineapple and ocean air still lingers in our memories. Those early experiences—playing in craft rooms and watching candle makers at work—laid the foundation for what would later become RXLA.

Jocelyn first started making candles as a hobby, experimenting with scents and wax blends in her kitchen. What began as a personal passion quickly turned into something more, and in 2013, she launched a Kickstarter project to fund her business. The campaign was a success, but she had a problem. She got very ill and needed Jennifer's help to complete the project. So, she asked Jennifer to join her in building what would become RXLA. Together, we took our handmade creations to markets across Los Angeles, sharing our love for luxury fragrances and artisanal craftsmanship.

Fast forward to today, RXLA is still a staple at local markets, bringing beautifully crafted, spa-like scents to homes everywhere. What started as a childhood love for making things has grown into a brand that celebrates artistry, nostalgia, and the power of scent to transform a space. And we’re just getting started.
